Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas Challenge BONUS Tag #1

Today I am submitting my entry for the Bonus Tag #1 in the Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas Challenge.  The challenge is sponsored by The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

The Funkie Junkie gave us a little more time before the challenge expires.  The inspiration BONUS TAG #1 created by FJ may be seen HERE.  When I saw the inspiration tag, it was an "AH HA" moment for me.  Folding the tag into 3 sections to use as thank you cards is brilliant.  FJ also introduced a new technique from Tim Holtz using his frosted film.  The technique may be seen HERE.

I began by dragging a manila tag through a green DS from Tim Holtz called peeled paint.   I added my all time favorite, brushed pewter to the mix.  I then stamped randomly with an ivy stamp from CraftSmart.

I used a 6x6 pad of Fancy Pants Merry Little Christmas.  Have you ever had paper you loved so much you had a hard time using it?  This is that paper for me.  But, I made myself cut it and I used it for a plaque to place my ivy on.  I love the dainty little ivy design.  The leaves were cut from another coordinating paper from the same collection.  I wanted to recreate the Tim Holtz frosted film technique, but due to the lack of Tim Holtz frosted film in my local craft stores, I used vellum to frost my ivy leaves.  I'll need to be visiting The FUNKIE JUNKIE BOUTIQUE for some of that frosted film!!

On the inside, I used another plaque of my beloved Fancy Pants paper and dry embossed it with a miniature Texture Fades embossing folder.  I stamped a Thank You from Rubber Stampede and embossed it in black EP.  I left room for a "very short" note at the bottom but couldn't resist using a favorite stamp with a sentiment I think is appropriate for a Christmas thank you.  This stamp is from Little Yellow Bicycle Circles. The ivy strip at the bottom was cut on my Cricut from Teresa Collins Christmas Holly and frosted with vellum.

I added a bow died in the green DS for the closure.  Thank YOU, FJ, for the wonderful inspiration tag.  Another new technique and new ideas.
