Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas Challenge Tag #4

Week 4 of  The Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas!.  Please check out Funkie Junkie's  instructions, requirements, and guidelines for the challenge HERE.  Briefly, each week, the Funkie Junkie will provide an inspirational tag from which you take some element and incorporate it into your own tag.. The challenge is sponsored by The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

Week 4 tag was inspired by sample tag seen HERE.  I immediately connected with FJ's inspiration tag this week.  Going back to my roots and my first love - Country design.  I started my tag with FancyPantsDesigns Merry Little Christmas paper.  The Christmas tree was cut from one of the papers, adhered to the background and stamped with Little Yellow Bicycle Circles.  I made small "patches" using the same line of papers and stamped them with Faith and Hope stamps from D.O.T.S.  After I had all of my pieces together, I went to the sewing machine and stitched around the edge of the card and then around the patches.  I used some vintage lace to give the patches some character.  The tag was finished up with jute twine and wire wrapped around the top.

Participating in this challenge has already given me so many NEW ideas and techniques.  The supplies needed for the techniques are available at The Funkie Junkie Boutique.  Give the shop a visit - you will be mesmerized by the many products FJ offers.

  1. Love the homespun feeling you have achieved here, Jayne! The colors are delightful and I just love all the stitching and twine. Lovely lace and seam binding too. So glad you are sharing all the wonderful tags you have made for this challenge.

    Hugs,
    Linda
