The challenge has been sponsored by THE FUNKIE JUNKIE BOUTIQUE. Generous prizes are offered by the Boutique including a $50 shopping spree.
For each individual challenge, Linda has provided an inspiration piece. All of her pieces were beautiful and each introduced new techniques. The contestants were challenged to take inspiration from Linda's piece and turn that inspiration into a creation of their own. The final challenge inspiration piece, a beautiful Thank You card, may be seen HERE. A technique using embossing paste with stencil was used which was another new adventure for me to try. Tried and LOVED.
I began my tag by marbling Brushed Pewter DS and Picket Fence DP front and back. I scored the tag in 2 places making it a matchbook style card. Next, I used the modeling paste technique with a Prima stencil on the outside.
I stamped using second and third generation technique randomly with a rose stamp outside and inside.
After cutting borders from Graphics 45 Botanica paper using Tim Holtz On The Edge Scrollwork die, I placed one on the front of the card and one on the inside of the card.
I added a plaque on the inside with the single word "Gratitude".
A bow cluster with a key charm was added to the closure.
I appreciate all the instruction I have received during this challenge. Thank you to Linda and to all of the participants. Happy New Year!

What an absolute joy of a tag Jay! LOVE the embossing on this. It seems to pick up the metallic sheen beautifully and blends the paper in so well too. So pleased to see your win for this too. Enjoy your spending spree! Jenny x
